Come to Finca La Marina for Easter.

I´m down here in Denia, in the beautiful Spanish province of Alicante (Comunidad Valenciana) preparing our Rustic Escape, Finca La Marina, for Easter.

It´s still available if you want to come! It´s amazing here! While only five minutes from Denia seafront and the beaches of the Costa Blanca, and just off the A7 motorway link to both Alicante and Valencia airports (both no more than an hour away) and a lovely array of shops, little and large, Finca la Marina is surrounded by almond and orange trees. You could be hundreds of miles from civilisation! Rustic Escapes specialize in finding distinctive rural houses and cottages , in or near small rural villages, well connected to larger towns and an airport. Finca la Marina fits the bill perfectly. It´s an old farmhouse, with the traditional lovely thick walls and wood beamed terrace, yet offering all the style and comfort of a  family house. Rustic Escapes has upgraded the bedrooms to ensure that it offers ensuite bathrooms in four of it´s five bedrooms (the fifth one also has its own private bathroom and is ideal for guests with limited mobility as it is just off the cosy winter sitting room with its open fire -another feature of all Rustic Escapes) and although I say it myself, they have done a great job!  I love it here. The swimming pool and barbeque area are fabulous and it´s perfect for dogs and children as the garden is totally walled in and private. Beautiful.

Lovely , sunny Denia in Alicante

It always seems to be sunny here. In March the almond trees are in full bloom and the house is surrounded by clouds of white blossom. It is mild enough at this time of year to enjoy long walks in the countryside or a short stroll down to the local village, La Xara, which has several small bars and restaurants and bakeries where you can buy the typical Easter buns. A lovely place to come back to life this Spring!

Finca La Marina está preparada para recibir huéspedes estas Pascuas

Estoy aquí en Denia, Alicante (Comunidad Valenciana) en  Finca La Marina, preparándola para recibir, estas Pascuas, a huéspedes de Rustic Escapes. Me encanta este sitio.

Sólo cinco minutos desde las playas y la ciudad de Denia y cerquita del A7, desde donde se puede llegar en una hora tanto al aeropuerto de Valencia como a aquel de Alicante, y con tiendas de todo tipo a lado; pero te encuentras como si estuvieses en pleno campo. Rodeado de almendros y naranjos parece que estés a cientos de kilómetros del ruido mundial. En Rustic Escapes nos especializamos en buscar a propiedades distinctivos, dentro o cerca de pueblos pequeños y rurales, cercanos a otras ciudades más grandes y bien comunicados con un aeropuerto. Finca La Marina es perfecto para ello. Es una antigua finca agrícola con las paredes gruesas típicas y un gran porche de madera,pero ofrece el estilo y confort característicos de las Rustic Escapes. Hemos reformado las habitaciones para tener cuatro de los cinco con baños ensuite (el quinto tambien tiene baño privado y es perfecto para huéspedes con movilidad limitada ya que se encuentra a lado del salón, con su chiminea de leña – otra característica de una propiedad de  Rustic Escapes) y, aunque lo diga yo misma, han hecho un buen trabajo!

Siempre hace sol en Denia!

Parece que siempre hace buen tiempo aquí en Denia. En Marzo los almendros se encuentran en pleno flor y aún hace tiempo para poder disfrutar de largas caminatas por el campo o al pequeño pueblo de La Xara, donde encuentras varios restaurantes y bares y una panadería para la típica repostería de Pascuas. ¡Un sitio perfecto donde volver a vivir!
