Trying out ideas for our first cookery escape

One of our guests, last weekend, came up with a wonderful idea…Why doesn´t Rustic Escapes offer cookery courses and escapes dedicated to learning traditional culinary techniques; totally focusing on rice dishes or local specialities? She had visited Italy the year before and had enjoyed three days of cooking in a tuscan farmhouse and on visiting our alquería, Partida de la Mar, as a guest on our ´Escape to Valencia´three night stay, enjoyed using our aga in the farmstead and joined the paella workshop run by our local expert Concierge, Eduardo. He also does a fabulous spanish omellette and we could easily involve other local expert cooks to prepare either fidegua (seafood noodles) or puchero (typical Valencian hotpot)  We could also offer a ´tapas´cookery course, and teach our guests how to make all manner of tasty starters, including the local traditional delicacy, ´All i Pebre´(eels and potatoes). Our guest is photographed here having been brave enough to try this and celebrating with a delicious local rice liquour, at the lovely Mercado de Colon, a beautiful IX century market now full of bars and eateries.  Well done, Jenni and thanks for all your ideas.
