Spring Cottage and Monk House; the best places to spend Christmas!.

I´ve just returned from decorating Spring Cottage and Monk House, our two beautiful Rustic Escapes in West Sussex. There really isn´t anywhere as perfect as England at Christmas time! I enjoyed cosy evenings in front of the fire in Spring Cottage and shopping in Petworth, at our fascinating fifteenth century Monk House..

Both Spring Cottage and Monk House are booked for this Christmas. ¡ There´s still time to book for next year! 

You can´t beat England for Christmas! I had a lovely roast dinner in an olde Englush pub, meandered through the local market towns of Arundel, Petworth, Storrington and Steyning; enjoyed the lights and the beautiful little craft shops and the crisp coldness that you enjoy at this time of year; getting home, tired and happy to the cosy, stylish comfort of our Rustic Escapes!

We did have a sprinkling of snow, but not as much as the beautiful scene of the magnificent Petworth House seen below (taken a few years ago) with its 700 acreas of parkland, just across the road from our Monk House. You can literally step out of the door or our Rustic Escape, Monk House, and , through the Cowsyard entrance, emerging from a lovely stone tunnel you enter  the most amazing country scene, just beside this impressive Georgian house and into the beautiful landscape of Capability Brown. Wow! I had a lovely time!

¡No hay nada mejor, en navidades, que Spring Cottage y Monk House!

Acabo de volver de decorar a nuestros Rustic Escapes en West Sussex. ¡ No hay ningún lugar tan bello para pasar las navidades, que nuestras propiedades en Inglaterra. ¡ Que bien lo pasé descansando delante de la chiminea de Spring Cottage y ambulando por las calles de Petworth, una magnífica ciudad Georgiana en la que se encentra nuestra fascinante casa del siglo quince, Monk House.

Tanto Spring Cottage como Monk House están reservadas para dar la bienvenida, estas Navidades, a huéspedes de Rustic Escapes.¡ Aún estás a tiempo para reservar para navidades el año próximo!

No puedes superar al ambiente navidadeño de Inglaterra. Comí el típico asado de Navidad (Roast Turkey) en un precioso pub inglés, fui ambulando por las preciosas calles de los pueblos de Petworth, Arundel, Storrington y Steyning y disfruté de las luces y maravillosas tiendecitas de manualidades y antigüedades que se encuentran por todas partes. Luego, al final del día te vuelves a la comodidad estilosa de nuestras Rustic Escapes. Precioso.

No llegó a nevar tanto como la foto de la magnífica Petworth House (fue tomada hace unos años) pero disfruté del parque precioso que se encuentra, literalmente a cruzar la calle, pasando por la entrada del Cowsyard; 700 acres de parques, diseñados por el famoso Capability Brown.
